Softball Recap: Spring Hill Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Saint Thomas Aquinas

Spring Hill faced Saint Thomas Aquinas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Broncos fell just short of the Saints by a score of 6-5. If the Broncos were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Saints when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Quinn Thomson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Spring Hill's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spring Hill beat the Saints by a score of 11-4 later that day.
