Softball Recap: Mars Comes Up Short

Mars fell victim to Knoch and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 11-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Fightin' Planets were not able to get on the board.

Mars is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Knoch, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Looking ahead, Mars will look to defend their home field on Thursday against South Fayette at 3:45 p.m. As for Knoch, they will venture away from home to take on Kiski Area at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Kiski Area has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something Knoch will no doubt try to take advantage of.
