Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Penns Valley Area walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Rams as they're now sitting on four straight.

Penns Valley Area walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-15.

Sydnie Dalton was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Penns Valley Area was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive contests.

Penns Valley Area's record is now 15-9. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-14-4 record this season.

Penns Valley Area will square off against Bald Eagle Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Philipsburg-Osceola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
