Basketball Recap: Green County Takes a Loss

Green County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 74-46 defeat at the hands of the Caverna Colonels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colonels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-34 back in December of 2025.

Green County's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Caverna, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Green County will head out to challenge Larue County at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will be up against the Hawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Caverna, they will take on Bardstown at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
