Softball Recap: Killingly Drops Highest Score of Season Against Woodstock Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Killingly). They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Woodstock Academy Centaurs on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Killingly and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Woodstock Academy, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Killingly will head out to face off against Putnam at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Clippers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Redmen surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodstock Academy, they will venture away from home to take on East Lyme at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
