Mendon simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat New Buffalo 60-0 on the road. Owen Gorham was a one-man wrecking crew for Mendon as he rushed for 65 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. James T Lux was another key rusher, rushing for 118 yards on only eight carries.
Mendon wouldn't let New Buffalo keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. Gorham was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.
Meanwhile, Britton Deerfield took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 68-58 victory over Pittsford. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
