Football Recap: Massaponax Panthers vs. Riverbend Bears
Massaponax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 42-28 bruising from the Riverbend Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 34-14 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.
Despite the loss, Massaponax still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Newby-Morris, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. The dominant performance gave Newby-Morris a new career-high in rushing yards.
