It was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood duked it out with Burlington-Edison on Saturday. The Lakewood Cougars came out on top against the Burlington-Edison Tigers by a score of 60-47. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Tigers back in January, they had to take a 95-89 defeat.

Lakewood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points over those games. As for Burlington-Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burlington-Edison, they will face off against Squalicum at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Squalicum knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Burlington-Edison likes a good challenge.
