Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Springs Comes Up Short

Excelsior Springs lost against Chillicothe back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Excelsior Springs sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-12.

Jordin Price paced Excelsior Springs' offense, picking up 12 kills. Price got some help from Lillah Shue and her 17 assists. Shue was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Excelsior Springs' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Chillicothe, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Excelsior Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Carrollton on the 13th. As for Chillicothe, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bishop LeBlond on the 13th.
