Basketball Game Preview: Ranchview Wolves vs. Richland Raiders

The Ranchview Wolves will face off against the Richland Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ranchview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.

Ranchview had a senior duo take command as Dominic Watson went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points and three steals and Jaishawn Williams shot 67% from the field to rack up 14 points and five rebounds. Williams continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Raphael Kalala, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 11 points and five boards.

Ranchview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 13 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Richland had just enough and edged out Gainesville 51-49 on Friday.

Ranchview better focus on containing Mike Barnes and Jacob Battles II as the pair were huge in Richland's win. Barnes went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points, while Battles II shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points and six rebounds. Cam Butts was another key player, putting up five points and seven boards.

Ranchview's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-14. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points over those games. As for Richland, their record is now 18-15.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Ranchview has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27.7 rebounds per game.
