Soccer Game Preview: Pilot Point vs. Gainesville

Pilot Point hasn't had much luck against Gainesville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bearcats will be playing at home against the Leopards at 7:15 p.m. Pilot Point has given up an average of 3.8 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pilot Point fell victim to Farmersville and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Farmers, falling 8-0.

Meanwhile, Gainesville kept a clean sheet against Sanger on Monday. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering Gainesville have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Gainesville and bumps their season record up to 9-1-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Pilot Point, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
