Basketball Game Preview: High Tech CV Bruins vs. Grossmont Foothillers

The High Tech CV Bruins just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Grossmont Foothillers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

High Tech CV saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 69-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Valhalla. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The losing side was boosted by Kyle Ilagan, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 25 points. Ramzie Cabal was another key player, going 5-for-7 en route to 10 points.

Meanwhile, Grossmont was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 52-48 to Otay Ranch.

High Tech CV will have to keep a close watch on Rayin Hamlett and Jackson Baird, a pair of players who had a big impact on Grossmont's prior game. Hamlett posted 15 points, while Baird shot 75% from the field on his way to 12 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matt Canosa, who scored six points.

High Tech CV now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grossmont, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.
