Baseball Recap: Strayhorn Takes a Loss

Strayhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ingomar Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 13-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

Sanders Sowell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

Strayhorn's record now sits at 8-13. As for Ingomar, they pushed their record up to 18-5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Strayhorn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-3 loss against Myrtle on the 14th. As for Ingomar, they have also already played their next game, a 5-4 victory against Regents on the 12th.
