Baseball Game Preview: West Allis Hale Huskies vs. Germantown Warhawks

The West Allis Hale Huskies will challenge the Germantown Warhawks at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Allis Hale is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Brookfield East hit West Allis Hale with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies fell 9-6 to the Spartans. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly three runs.

Brayden Paucek made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Luke Schaning, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Germantown's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Wauwatosa East by a score of 3-2.

Germantown also got a good showing from Lucas Frank, who pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Frank has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

West Allis Hale's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Germantown, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

West Allis Hale couldn't quite get it done against Germantown in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 9-6. Can the Huskies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
