Softball Recap: Canyon Hills Rattlers vs. Mar Vista Mariners

Canyon Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of the Mar Vista Mariners by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Canyon Hills of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Natalye Debus put in work while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 16 over 7.1 innings pitched. Debus was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

In other batting news, Kassidy Ramirez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Ramona is coming into the contest with four straight defeats at home, meaning Canyon Hills will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Mar Vista will take on Granite Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Mar Vista has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
