Softball Recap: Great Crossing Find Success

Great Crossing lost to Lafayette back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Warhawks skirted past the Generals 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warhawks.

Brenna Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emma Sutton was incredible, firing off two home runs, four RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashtyn Holbrook, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Great Crossing's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Lafayette, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-9.

As of now, neither Great Crossing nor the Generals have any future games scheduled.
