Soccer Recap: South Takes a Loss

South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Mira Costa Mustangs. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 last Thursday.

South's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mira Costa, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-1.

South has already played their next match (against Redondo Union), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mira Costa will be playing at home against Palos Verdes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Palos Verdes is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.
