Softball Recap: South Pittsburg Takes a Loss

South Pittsburg has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.31 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 14-1 to the Tullahoma Wildcats. The Pirates' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

South Pittsburg saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Mashburn, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Mashburn's first of the season.

South Pittsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tullahoma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Pittsburg will face off against Grundy County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tullahoma, they will challenge Cascade at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
