Basketball Game Preview: Rivers of Life Christian Eagles vs. Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis Crusaders

Rivers of Life Christian hasn't had much luck against Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rivers of Life Christian is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They were dealt a 61-23 loss at the hands of Crosspoint Christian on Thursday.

Despite the defeat, Rivers of Life Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Denny Lindsey posted 16 points.

Meanwhile, Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Liberty Christian Academy 73-19. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Rivers of Life Christian was dealt a bruising 82-54 defeat at the hands of Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis when the teams last played back in January. Thankfully for the Eagles, Ricardo Jones (who shot 54% from the field on his way to 32 points and six steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
