Franklin County entered their tilt with Batesville on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 27.6 points per game.

Franklin County had a senior duo take command as Wyatt Bowling rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry and Mason Wewe rushed for 105 yards and three scores on only 12 carries. Wewe is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Franklin County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 315 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 272 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Franklin County's defense made their presence known, laying out Dylan Shane five times. Evan Flaspohler refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Franklin County's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Batesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Coming up, Franklin County will challenge North Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers' defense has only allowed 12.1 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Batesville, they will take on Connersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
