Basketball Recap: Tremont Comes Up Short

Tremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles and fell 82-40. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Tremont of the 72-41 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Tremont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Carson Robinson, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Curtis, who posted 11 points.

Tremont's record now sits at 2-10. As for Tupelo Christian Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.

Tremont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-34 defeat against Colbert Heights on the 14th. Tupelo Christian Prep will take on Pine Grove in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
