Basketball Game Preview: Rocksprings Angoras vs. Knippa Crushers

The Rocksprings Angoras will face off against the Knippa Crushers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocksprings is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season.

Rocksprings took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They managed a 57-53 victory over Medina.

It was another big night for Hunter Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Roy Estrada, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points and six boards.

Rocksprings was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 6.4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 66 points the game before, Knippa was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They lost 46-23 to D'Hanis. The match marked the Crushers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Rocksprings is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Knippa, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.
