Softball Recap: Madison-Grant Takes a Loss

Madison-Grant made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lapel, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Argylls fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Argylls were not able to get on the board.

Madison-Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Wood, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Madison-Grant has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season. As for Lapel, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Madison-Grant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Mississinewa on the 8th. As for Lapel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Hamilton Southeastern on the 8th.
