Football Game Preview: Silver Creek Raiders vs. Oak Grove Eagles + How To Watch

The Silver Creek Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Oak Grove Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Silver Creek was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 22-17 to Overfelt. The loss continues a trend for the Raiders in their meetings with the Royals: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the defeat, Silver Creek had strong showings from Jordan Thompson, who rushed for 108 yards and one TD on only eight carries, and Alijah Guzman, who rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown. The Raiders are 2-1 when Thompson posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Oak Grove and Piedmont Hills have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Pirates, falling 37-14.

Oak Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Silver Creek took a serious blow against Oak Grove in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, falling 29-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
