Gateway waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They came out on top against the Aubrey Rogers Patriots by a score of 56-46. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Gateway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thatiyana Holiday, who posted 17 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. That's the most assists Holiday has posted since back in January of 2024. V'Davrielle Johnson was another key player, going 7-for-16 en route to 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Aubrey Rogers lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Angelina Insana, who earned 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 43 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Johnson, who had 17 points.

Gateway's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.1 points over those games. As for Aubrey Rogers, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Gateway wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 46-32 victory against First Baptist Academy on the 31st. As for Aubrey Rogers, they have also already played their next game, a 37-34 win against Lely on the 6th.
