Austin had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Opelika Bulldogs.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Austin took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13, 25-11.

Austin found their leader in sophomore Cora Barnes, who had five aces and three digs.

Austin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 43-7. As for Opelika, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Austin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Thompson on the 22nd. Opelika does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
