Preview: Hallsville Indians vs. Sunnydale Academy
Hallsville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge Sunnydale Academy on Thursday. Hallsville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 matches -- so hopefully Sunnydale Academy likes a good challenge.
Two weeks ago, Hallsville greeted the New Year with with a 62-44 win over California. Given Hallsville's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while California is ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, even though Christian Fellowship scored an imposing 57 points on Tuesday, Sunnydale Academy still came out on top. Sunnydale Academy secured a 62-57 W over Christian Fellowship. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but Sunnydale Academy was the better team in the second half.
Hallsville pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sunnydale Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
