Volleyball Recap: Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Gets the Win

Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning won the last time they faced Leroy Greene Academy and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning Fire Wolves came out on top in a nail-biter against the Leroy Greene Academy Lions, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Fire Wolves have posted since April 13, 2024.

Deacon Strutton paced Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's offense, picking up 14 kills. Strutton got some help from Christian McKnight and his 28 assists. McKnight was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning and bumps their season record up to 6-2. As for Leroy Greene Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning will take on Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Leroy Greene Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Westlake Charter on the 10th.
