Softball Recap: Moultonborough Academy Beats Lisbon for Their Eighth Straight Win

Moultonborough Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Lisbon 15-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-6 back in April.

Evelynn Buy was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs. Those eight RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sammy Nagle, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Moultonborough Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.

Moultonborough Academy pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Lisbon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Moultonborough Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lisbon, they will challenge Lin-Wood at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
