Masuk has gone 9-1 against Brookfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Masuk is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
Masuk had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Immaculate on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Mustangs 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted against the Mustangs since October 17, 2018.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Masuk was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10, 25-10.
Mary-Kate Boyle was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.
Boyle wasn't the only good servers: Masuk was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Brookfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Nonnewaug. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bobcats have suffered since November 5, 2024.
Brookfield was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-18.
Brookfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Masuk, their win bumped their record up to 20-9.
