Baseball Recap: Sultan Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Sultan's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Blaine Borderites on Monday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Turks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sultan's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Blaine, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-10 record.

Looking ahead, Sultan will square off against Cedarcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Turks will need to watch out since the Red Wolves have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Blaine, they will host Sehome at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mariners' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Borderites' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
