Rantoul is a perfect 10-0 against St. Thomas More since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Eagles will welcome the Sabers at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Prairie Central hit Rantoul with a five-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Hawks, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, St. Thomas More was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to Bloomington Central Catholic.

St. Thomas More saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Gooding, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Gooding has snagged this season.

Rantoul has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for St. Thomas More, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Rantoul took their win against St. Thomas More when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Sabers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
