Recap: Cordova Blue Devils vs. Hamilton Aggies
The Cordova Blue Devils and the Hamilton Aggies squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Cordova Blue Devils had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-36 walloping at the hands of the Aggies. Cordova's defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Aubrey Sorrells, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks for Hamilton. Sorrells has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Jordan Parker was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Cordova's loss dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 24-5 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home.
Cordova will head out on the road to face off against Deshler at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Deshler knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Cordova likes a good challenge. As for Hamilton, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hamilton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three contests.
