Tigard hadn't done well against Oregon City recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Tigard and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Oregon City, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tigard will head out to challenge Tualatin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Oregon City, they will challenge Lake Oswego at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pioneers are facing the Lakers at the right time seeing as the Lakers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
