Recap: Goochland Bulldogs vs. Louisa County Lions
The Goochland Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 63-3 loss at the hands of Louisa County. Goochland has struggled against Louisa County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Louisa County was led to victory by Peyton Brady and Taylor Yeatts. Brady scored 17 points, while Yeatts scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brady has scored all season. Harlee Lowe was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Goochland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Louisa County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goochland will take on Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Albemarle presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Goochland in Virginia (Albemarle is ranked 155th, while Goochland is ranked 386th). As for Louisa County, they will head out on the road to take on Charlottesville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Charlottesville will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak alive.
