Football Recap: South Elgin Takes a Loss

South Elgin fell victim to Lyons and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were dealt a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Lions. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Lions are ranked 14th).

South Elgin has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Lyons, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Elgin will face off against rival West Aurora at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Lyons is set to challenge their familiar foe Lake Park at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
