Baseball Recap: Quincy Comes Up Short

Quincy's last matchup with Moline could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Blue Devils lost 11-1 to the Maroons. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Maroons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Quincy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Parkhill, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Shane Pillars also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Quincy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Moline, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-8.

While Quincy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
