Danville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Southern Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Admirals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dillon Cruver made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Cruver was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Foster, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Danville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Danville's record now sits at 16-5. As for Southern, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-8.
