Manitowoc Lutheran extended their winning streak to eight on Saturday, bumping them up to 23-8. They blew past the Howards Grove Tigers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

As for Howards Grove, they moved to 20-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 18th.

Despite the loss, Howards Grove saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sydney Borgen had eight digs and two aces. Borgen has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Manitowoc Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Sheboygan Christian on the 11th. As for Howards Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against St. Mary Catholic on the 11th.
