East Grand Rapids was the 2-0 winner over Forest Hills Central when they last played one another back in October, but their luck changed this time around. The East Grand Rapids Pioneers fell just short of the Forest Hills Central Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Pioneers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rangers 25-21 in the first set.

East Grand Rapids actually scored more points across those five sets (104-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 14-25, 15-10.
