Softball Game Preview: Limestone Rockets vs. Washington Panthers

Limestone hasn't had much luck against Washington recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rockets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Limestone 4.1, Washington 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Monday just wasn't the day for Limestone's offense. They lost 6-0 to Canton on Monday. The Rockets just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Saturday. Washington walked away with a 6-2 win over East Moline United.

Limestone now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Limestone came out on top in a nail-biter against Washington in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Rockets repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
