Recap: Wabash Apaches vs. Maconaquah Braves

The Wabash Apaches had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down Maconaquah 48-31. That's another feather in the cap for Wabash, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Wabash's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kierra Wilson led the charge by scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlynn Honeycutt, who scored 12 points.

Despite the loss, Maconaquah had strong showings from Miranda Stoll, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, and Bailey Carson, who scored ten points. The matchup was Stoll's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Wabash is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Maconaquah, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Eastbrook will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive. As for Maconaquah, they will head out on the road to face off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
