Lyndhurst had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They managed a 63-59 win over the Secaucus Patriots. Given the Golden Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Patriots are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lyndhurst has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Secaucus, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
