A Region 3B recap Oct. 3, 2012

Treutlen and Savannah Country Day played the most hotly contested game in A Region 3B this week, with Treutlen eventually emerging with a 31-25 victory.

Emanuel County Institute's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Caleb Pressey threw for 102 and one touchdown and James Brown had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Renaldo Williams chipped in 83 yards. Keith Sapp helped Emanuel County Institute's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.

The Bulldogs' Pressey and Greg Percell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pressey has thrown for 476 yards this season, while Percell has six catches for 208 yards. Glendarrius Darrisaw from Johnson County leads the league in rushing with 405 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Emanuel County Institute takes on Wheeler County. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in second, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.

Emanuel County Institute led A Region 3B in scoring this week after putting up 48 points on Portal. Pressey ran for 22 yards in the win.
