Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Platte County). They walked away with a 74-67 win over the Ruskin Golden Eagles on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Golden Eagles back in January, they had to take a 57-50 defeat.

Platte County's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Ruskin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Grain Valley the next time they take the court. Ruskin will host Grain Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Platte County will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
