Volleyball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger lost against Angola back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Saints fell 3-1 to the Hornets. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Angola scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 21-25, 25-22.

Nicolette Watercutter paced Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's offense, picking up 19 kills. Watercutter got some help from Braelyn Hodgeman and her 20 assists. Hodgeman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Angola, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Leo on the 26th. As for Angola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against East Noble on the 21st.
