Softball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 9-3 to the Shoals Christian Flame. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Flame this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-0 loss back in February.

Phillips' defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Shoals Christian, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-15.

Looking ahead, Phillips is taking a road trip to challenge Red Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shoals Christian, they will challenge Sheffield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flame are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a 20-game losing streak.
