Softball Recap: Center Point Comes Up Short

Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-2 to the Comfort Bobcats/Deer, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 21-14 to the Bobcats/Deer when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Center Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Comfort, they moved to 5-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Center Point will look to defend their home field on the 27th against San Saba at 5:00 p.m. As for Comfort, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-2 victory against Cole on the 19th.
