Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rye). They claimed a resounding 74-45 win over the Dolores Huerta Prep Scorpions. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Thunderbolts as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Rye found their leader in sophomore Eli Guzman, who posted 27 points. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Scheid, who put up ten points.

Rye's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10.

Rye will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodland Park at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Dolores Huerta Prep, they will challenge Thomas MacLaren School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
