Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rivercrest). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hoxie Mustangs a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Colts have beaten the Mustangs the last eight times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Rivercrest's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Hoxie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Rivercrest will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Osceola at 4:30 p.m. Considering the Colts have lost five straight at home and the Seminoles five straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Hoxie, they will take on Newport at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
